This block was created quite spontaneously.I saw irises blooming in the garden and I thought that I absolutely need to sew something that will suit these flowers. This block is not a new idea. Last year I did SAL "Town Square" blok. I sewed several versions of this block. The first finished quilt is the Gypsy Rhapsody, which you can see HERE. This one called Navy Irises is the second quilt completely finished.
Unfortunately, by the time I finished the quilt, the irises had faded.
However, lavender began to bloom, which also fits beautifully in terms of color :D It turns out that even a small garden always gives you some options ;) Below are some photos of the quilt.
I used Handi Quilter Moxie longram machine and Silesian Quilt rulers. and Artyn Threads( orange colour). Now, you can buy Artyn Thread in Silesian Quilt shop too :)
In the video you can see that initially the center of the flowers was quilted differently. I changed the idea and now I think the flowers look better.
Short video how I quilted it:
I hope you like my new page and my new work :D I'd be glad if you leave a comment. Have a great weekend Loves! Margaret
